Will JB Sing At Michael Jackson Tribute?

Justin Bieber Michael Jackson

Justin’s already paid tribute to the King of Pop on Twitter, but will he hit the stage for a song?

Fans everywhere are celebrating the life of the late Michael Jackson this week, with the opening of the The Immortal World TourJustin Bieber tweeted his support for MJ, and we’re wondering if he will make a guest appearance on the tribute tour!

“Honoring the greatest @michaeljackson this week. He set the bar for all of us. #MJFOREVER,” Justinwrote on Jan. 23.

The tour opens at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Jan. 27, and we have a feeling that Justin may perform to pay tribute to one of the biggest names in music. Other celebrities like Amber Riley and Harry Shum Jr. from Glee are also honoring MJ this week by attending the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre Hand and Foot ceremony, where Michael’s children will be cementing his footprint among the ranks of Hollywood’s greatest performers.

Do YOU think Justin will make an appearance at either one of these of these legendary events, HollywoodLifers?

JB Sends Organ Donor Registrations Soaring

The spike follows the pop phenom retweeting to his 16 million followers a dramatic plea by a 20 year-old Ottawa woman awaiting a life-saving lung transplant.

TORONTO – He’s not saving lives, but Justin Bieber has caused a dramatic rise in new Canadian organ donor registrations.

The Trillium Gift of Life Network on Tuesday reported it has been deluged with over 1000 new online registrations since last Thursday.

That’s when a 20 year-old Ottawa woman, Helene Campbell, made a personal plea via Twitter to raise the number of organ donors as she awaits a lung transplant in Toronto.

Then on Saturday, Bieber responded to Campbell’s request by retweeting her plea to his 16 million followers.

“@alungstory i got the word …. You have amazing strength. I got u. #BeAnOrganDonor,” Bieber wrote on his Twitter account.

By Sunday, the Trillium Gift of Life Network’s beadonor.ca website reported 565 new donors, “thanks to Helene, her team, and all the Bielibers out there!”, the life-saving organization reported on its Facebookpage.

That tally then crossed the 1000 new online donor registration mark early Tuesday.

The Road to Bieber Fever

Whether you love or despise 17-year-old international pop star Justin Bieber, you have his mom to thank (or blame) for thrusting him into the spotlight five years ago this month.

On Jan. 19, 2007, Pattie Mallett uploaded a video of her son performing Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” in Stratford, Ontario to Bieber’s YouTube channel — kidrauhl.

Rap star Usher signed Bieber to a record label the following year in 2008. Since then, Bieber has taken the social media world by storm, attracting millions of followers across many networks. Bieber has 16.7 million Twitter followers and 39.4 million Facebook “Likes” and he’s just warming up.

Google Chrome recently chronicled Bieber’s impressive reach and presence on Google and YouTube in an ad below. The YouTube-star-turned-mega-celebrity most recently made a splash at the Consumer Electronics Show where he endorsed a gadget for robotic toys company TOSY.

‘I understand Justin Bieber’s fame’

The former Saved by the Bell actress wore a Justin Bieber T-shirt to the Horrible Bosses premiere last year after Bieber was seen wearing a T-shirt with her image to Canada’s MuchMusic Awards.

Asked if she had received any threatening messages from Bieber’s notoriously protective fans, Thiessen insisted that she is no competition to his legions of supporters.

“Not that I could see on my Twitter page or Facebook. Believe me, girls, he’s way too young for me, so don’t worry! I’ve never met him, but I do understand to a degree what his life is like right now, as a recognizable teen star,” she told Parade.

Thiessen went on to say that she feels fortunate to have made it through the world of teen stardom, adding: “The business is ever-changing, and I don’t think it’s easy for any kid. Thank God I [survived]. Not every story is that way.”

The White Collar star welcomed daughter Harper Renn in June 2010 with husband Brady Smith.

Thiessen has commented that Harper is no longer a baby and said that the little girl has reached many milestones in recent months.

The Wanted: “We’ll Fly JB Over To Stay”

The ‘Lightning’ singers say they “love” Justin and would like to spend more time with the Canadian pop singer.

The Wanted have revealed plans to invite Justin Bieber to stay with them in the UK when he turns 18.

The ‘Warzone’ singers supported Justin on several South America dates last year, and say they are all big fans of the ‘Baby’ singer.

“We all love him and he likes us too,” The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness told Now magazine this week. “His manager Scooter Braun has given us lots of advice.

“Justin literally lives in ‘Justin world’ so it was great that he let us into it.”

“When he turns 18 we’re going to fly him over,” Nathan Sykes revealed.

Jay added: “Imagine Nathan and Bieber walking around London. They’d kill it. The girls would go crazy.”

The ‘Glad You Came’ singers reunited with Justin in November 2011 when they joined him in turning on the Christmas lights at London’s Westfield shopping centres .

The Wanted are due to perform the second night of their current US tour in Washington DC tonight (20th January).
